1st -3rd
Front Desk + Phlebotomy + Sample Management Department + Admin
4th – 9th
Microbiology Section (Urine C/E, Stool C/E, Gram/Zn staining, Culture/Sensitivity, Culture plates + equipments) + ELISA
10th -15th
Hematology Section (PBS microscopy basics+ Hematology counter + coagulation profile)
16th – 18th
General and Special Chemical Pathology section & immunology (observation of all analyzers)
19th – 24th
Histopathology section (tissue preservation, processing, FNAC; smear making/staining and microscopy, specimen grossing/cutting, frozen section/ cryostat)
25th – 30th
Blood Bank
Test day
Topic presentation / discussion / Written or oral test
22-24
Reading of Micro Procedure Handbook + Occult blood
25-27
Reading of Micro Procedure Handbook + CD Toxin
28-29
Reading of Micro Procedure Handbook + ELISA
Last Day
Written test

Rules to remember:

  1. Interns must read SOP books in each section during internship.
  2. Interns are not entitled for leave; in case of leave their internship days will be counted as it is.
  3. No mobile phones, cameras are allowed while training in the department.
  4. Taking any kind of pictures or making videos is strictly prohibited.
  5. Strict action will be taken against candidates in case of violation of rules.
  6. In case of any emergency contact Lab management.
  7. Internship slot will not be changed once approved.
  8. Please return the training checklist with your test at the end of internship. No test will be taken without submission of this checklist.
